Enjoyed the carving and colouring of these signs. Wood is such a friendly material. I hate plastic.

Piratuba, that the Tupi-Guarani language means "abundance of fish", is a city in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil, and has 5,500 inhabitants. Its architecture is of Germanic origin, and was settled by German families originating from the Caí Valley region in the state of Rio Grande do Sul - Brazil. Here, the signs are all in wood, honoring local craftsmen.

So many signs. What to chose, where to go, of course it would be made easier if I could read Portuguese but still I can just enjoy them for what they are. Nice collection.

Engraçado!!! O que é isso de "Farmácia 10 minutos Fim"???? Nao posso entender. Posso mas nao faz sentido. Porque "fim"... alguém vai morrer na faráacia ou é que lá acaba o parque?

Liliana, eu também queria entender mas, quando fui perguntar ao atendente da farmácia, ele estava ocupado. Voltei para a calçada e vi outra placa com a mesma inscrição, mas com a palavra início (vide mais acima neste tabblo) no lugar da palavra fim. Pelo espaço geográfico entre uma e outra placa, cheguei à conclusão que o espaço compreendido entre ambas é o estacionamento destinado a quem faz compras naquela farmácia. Obrigado pela sua pergunta. Assim pude exercitar meu raciocínio acerca desta particularidade.
